Help...Ticking at low rpms

I know much has been discussed on this and related subjects but I still wanted to post me problem and get some opinions.

I hear about 4 or 5 ticks only when I am on an incline in my parking garage going from a dead stop and just releasing the clutch. Question: Is this a problem with the engine or is it my low rpm driving. It seems if I juice it a little and ride the clutch a bit, I avoid the ticking.

Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks.

Just sounds like your clutch engaging...Not sure though..... Try posting in the Drivetrain section, you'll probably get a better reply....

Unhappy Re: Help...Ticking at low rpms

Thanks for the thought. I checked it out better after work and now it seems to stumble off the line under hard? acceleration. I was thinking it felt like the timing advance was being taken out of the ignition but not sure. As far as the clutch goes, I have been nursing this clutch for a while, it does make some noice on shifts and sounds like a bit of a gear whine when I coast to a stop, but have never had problems with it engaging. I just put LCAs on the car this weekend but I'm not trying to lauch it off the line just medium/hard acceleration. Could the LCAs be causing that much additional traction to cause the clutch to finally have problems?

How can I tell if it's the clutch or the ignition? Is there simple check that I can do with engaging the clutch differently? I will also post it in the drivetrain section as you suggested. If I can't figure this out I will probably take it to the dealer sice I don't know a mechanic that I trust here in the Kingwood/Humble, Texas area. Help.
