Unhappy Help Quick! Car won't start after intake manifold fix

I made sure I got everything back on correctly, but when I try to start the car, I turn the key until the fuel pump runs and I hear a gurgle come from the fuel rails. I'm assuming this is air. I ran the fuel pump many times to try to make sure the fuel rails were full, but I still sometimes get the gurgle noise. When I try to start the car all it does is turn over and over and never fires. I have to drive back to school tonight! Please help! Am I missing something...do I need to bleed fuel lines??? This is the first time I've had the manifold/fuel rails off.

Thanks in advance.

Are you getting any fuel pressure from the schrader valve?

when you put everything back together you missed something or sometihing is not quite right. if you hear something in the fuel rail do you see any leaks? I would start with a fuel pressure test and then check for spark. cover the basics and go from there. This can help you along the way http://mainstreamtopics.com/forum/in...p?showtopic=78

chances are it;s someting simple.

check all your fuses and make sure correct wires hooked to each injector, shoot a little starting fluid in there and see if she lights up[,good luck.

did u connect the fuel lines properly? Did you connect the opti harness wire? All the injectors connected properly? How about the tps and iac? I just dont see how it is gargling. Did you put anything over the lines to protect them and forget to remove it?

I checked the schrader valve and I had quite a bit of pressure built up in it, so I relieved the pressure. I realized from your help (thanks so much guys) that it probably wasn't the fuel pressure then, so I checked the opti for anything that might have come loose. Evidently when I was moving some of the harnesses, the pigtail broke on the opti plug and the weatherpak pulled out. I plugged it in and the car started great!

Thanks again!

Daniel
