Help with plug and wire change needed

The last two times I changed plugs and wires it was a PITA of course. What are some tips and tricks to make the job go a little easier this time around, Any suggestions at all ? Give some secrets you might have to to get this done a little quicker. If that's possible lol.

Try getting the hard ones from the bottom. The last 3 in the passenger side are easier from the bottom. The driver side can be done from the top, except for the last one maybe.

something that helped me was having my AC deleted. And i couldnt get the plug closest to the firewall on the passenger side for the longest time. I eventually figured out if i twisted my left arm clockwise until my palm was facing out then went in to get the plug that way my arm fit down there enough to get a socket on there and get the plug out. Kind of hard to explain but it worked. Just try some different contortions with your arms and youll be surprised.

i dont see how you could get the passenger side wires from the bottom without removing the y pipe. I'm almost finished with my plug and wire change and i can say that its been a bitch.

Some of you may say that this is an extreme way of curing the plug and wire change issue...but I say get rid of the stock exhaust manifolds and upgrade to some longtube headers. Believe or not...that was my prime motivating factor for going with longtubes...the performance gains from them are just a bonus!

I agree, the first job I did was on a manifold car and I hated it. The second car I did was on a LT car and it was a little easier. All the things mentoned here will be a big help. Thanks guys!!

You don't have to remove the y-pipe. You can also take out the starter and be able to reach up in there too. Either way takes about the same amount of time, but I prefer taking out the starter. No rusted bolts to deal with.

Ditto with the header install.

Jet Hots offer superb plug access...they almost pay for themselves. Even my old MAC headers had great access! Now I have the benefit of having great plug access and long tube headers.
