Help! Overheating!!!

I recently swapped a motor in my 94z and after everything was finished I bled coolant and I've done it about 15 times and car still over heats, no heat out vents, and overflow sprays out like a fountain. I have the two little hoses near rad cap in right places and all other hoses seem to be in right spots. Head vent tube bottom and resivoir is top. It seems the car over heats just after 5 min of idle on a cold start after sitting all night. What should I do?

I thought the same thing as well. So I removed the t-stat completely and it still doing the same thing. I'm leaning towards the water pump being bad?

I just think it's strange it heats up in literally less then 5 min. And by heat up I mean 240 on temp gauge

Re: Help! Overheating!!!

Look into the top of the radiator withe the cap off and see if coolant is pouring in from the steam line.

Did you put the water pump coupler on?

If your system is properly filled and you see no coolant from the steam line, the pump may not be working. If you don't know what the coupler is, chances are you did not put it on. It couples the pump to the drive gear. No coupler, no pump action.
