Help, installed heads backward

I prefer to put the coolant tube on before putting the heads in the car, it is a huge PITA for me with the oil sendor in back. I cut the tube in the middle and use a rubber hose now as my cross over. Huge convenience help for me, I never undo the cross over anymore, just toss the heads in and voila.

Stock Fel Pro gaskets at my local auto store cost about the same as OEM, about $22 each.
Cutting the tube seems like a great idea. I'm gonna do that.

I'll add a "me too" to the separating of the coolant return lines.

took the heads off

I ended up taking my heads off , and I will put them back on today. This is a big PITA, but next time I will know. I will reuse gaskets and bolts, and I hope it will hold good. Thanks for help,
