Question HELP!! I dont know whats wrong?!?!

I have a 97 camaro ss, and somethings wrong with my car, because when i get into high rpm's in first gear, then shift into second, it makes a loud popping noise? i have no clue what it is...and its like the whole trans is moving, but i checked the mounts and replaced them, so its not that...

Re: HELP!! I dont know whats wrong?!?!

there are 2 engine mounts, and 1 trans mount, however, did you inspect the torque arm bushing/mount?

Could very well be the tranny mount or the torque arm mount. You might as well replace both with decent poly units and be done with it. That should fix the problem and stiffen the drivetrain a good bit as well.

Re: HELP!! I dont know whats wrong?!?!

I had a bolt pop out of the torque arm once, it made hit the bottom of my car HARD as **** any time I would hit a bump. It scared the **** out of me, so Im sure its not the torque arm.
