new plugs/oil...new 02s...new fuel filter..after friday.. a brand new carsound cat..the car runs flawless and is kept tip top...

it is currently running the stock tune...untill i can beat this emmisions shi^ and throw on the other tune

this is what im going to do...im gonna buy that crap that claims it is garaunteed to pass emmisions and put it in the fuel tank with a half tank of gas...i am going to leave my cutout somewhat open..i am going to run it hard on the highway to the testing facuility...let it run up to 220 then have them have a go at it...if i dont pass im going to take off my jacket and lay the tech out with an overhand right from riddick

 

I think they are sold in half gallons but im not sure. It works though.

Denatured Alcohol. Get it at Wal-mart in the paint section where they sell the tape, epoxy, superglue. It will be right next to the Laquer Thinner. It's like $6 for the can i think. It's a half gallon if i remember correctly.

 

and how much do you suggest i put in a 15.5 gallon tank? (or should i only fill it half way)

 

I failed also with a CC305. TN allows 220 ppm I had 435. We increased the idle, temps and locked in open loop and adjusted the A/F open loop tables. I just passed today with 145.

 

I suggest the whole thing. It's never hurt before. Worst case you siphon out your tank and add more gas. You won't run into that problem though. Denatured Alcohol is combustable, so it's not like adding water or oil to your tank. It's gonna be at like a 30:1 mixture anyways so it will be fine. Just put it in a mostly full tank. It's not really brain surgery, with 15 gallons of 93 octane, adding a half gallon definately wont drop your octane below 90 im sure. I don't know much about octane boosting, but I've done it before, I know people who have done it before, and it works fine. lol.

 

ok a half gallon of alcohol seems crazy but i guess ill give it a try
