I want to remove the Cat from my 1995 Z. Will this effect my computers setting?

as long as you have single cat, no it won't, I have and no problems yet.

Your car will be fine. You have the OBD-1 computer, so you won't get a Service Engine Soon light either...right guys?

Correct. You shouldn't run into any trouble at all by removing the cat, unless the emissions ****'s catch you.

Great! thanks to all for the advice. I wonder how much louder it and how much better it will perform since I'm running LT headers with flowmaster right now?

Thanks again,

Expect it to be very loud and raspy, especially with the flowminor on there, keep the revs under 2000 and you shouldn't have a problem

Loud and raspy sound sweet for a hardtop! But its pretty loud now with the flow hope it doesn't get much louder since I'm driving a convertible.

I'm thinking of doing the same thing to mine, I run a cutout 24/7 right now, how much louder will it be, and will I notice any performance gain, or should I just wait to cut it till I get LT's?

Depends on where you had your cutout. If it was after the cat, it's going to be louder. How much I can't say, but you're definitely opening up a restriction there.

How about HP? will there be a noticable increase in power?
