Hey what up Pimp. This is Silas. Man I know you are already in the 11's shooting for 10's I see.
I don't know who can give you that combo. But try talking to Combination Motorsports or some of the other vendors floating around here. TEA makes good head work as well but I'm not sure on the LT1 side. Some dude on hear also makes killer heads Loyd or something do a search it'll pop up. See you got a LS1 SS too. Sweet!
Saw Scott last month he flew into Rheinman before flying back to the states from Afganistan. I miss Va!!!!!!
I just had my 396 rebuilt w/ new rings, piston, bearings and it didn't last 1 minute. THe shop put the pistons in wrong by accident and that's with checking piston to valve clearance. Talking about bad luck. We'll since they screwed up they are paying for everything 4 new pistons, 16 new valves, and whatever else is damaged which is nothing since I tore it down myself and checked the specs w/ a buddy of mine. I may rebuild myself just to say I've done a 396.
Already got a 383 under my belt last winter.
Good luck in your quest for 10's and sorry for jackin your thread but it's rare to see ya post these days. Take care,
Silas,

Hey Mac how ya doing. I think I seen you at the EFA shootout with your 93. If I would have known that was you I would have introduced myself. Anyway, my heads/cam/intake (GTP stage 2) combo (cam is 235 242 112 lsa .568 .590) went an 11.44@118 1.579 60 ft. with no real tuning, just using a generic LT1 edit program off of the internet. I had 4.11 gears and a 26" tall tire with that run. I wish I had the DFI 7...man I'm jealous..lol. My car would have been bottom 11's to a high 10 if I had set the car up to run NA. I have a th400 and a nitrous converter so I was unable to launch it really hard NA but on the bottle is a different story. I have since changed to 3.70 gears and a 28.2" tall tire so now I run 11.8-11.9@115 with a 1.75 60 ft NA bogging in first. Do you plan to spray it. You have to set the car up for what it's main purpose is. I sacrifice alot NA to get a lot more on the bottle. At EFA I went 11.92@114.98 on Sat and went a 10.35@129 on a 150 shot (still haven't tuned the car in lol). Since the car is set up to run on the bottle I gained more than the typical gain that most people would get on a 150 shot. IMO I would get some AFR 215RR if you have $3500-$4000 to drop into a set of heads or a set of AFR 220cc heads and have them ported by a good shop. Definitely go solid roller. I am going to build an all forged 355 with a solid roller and set it up to run a 400 direct port shot within the next year or so. IM me or PM me if you want to talk more about set ups.

it's good to see you still haven't giving up on your 93 Z. That car of yours is sweet. I'm sorry to hear about the bad luck you have been having. I know once you get those guys to hook you up right ,you will be back out there kicking bmws, jags, and porches a#% out there in Germany once again
. My ultimate goal is low 11 's on motor ,but if I can run a 10..I wouldn't be mad.
shoot me an email sometime ,man...macsvh@comcast.net. ....Holla !

yeah that was me and my ol' 93 up there at mir.
hopefully at the next event ,we can hookup for awhile and trip out. right now i have the gm 846 cam 222/230 112 lsa .543 .563 w/ ported lt1 heads with 2.00/1.56 valves. the best i could do was a 11.90@ 114.99------> new mph best
. I could only manage a 1.689 60ft' with my ET Drags 28 tall tire. I'm looking at a set of AFR's 220 and have them cleaned up once i get them and a bigger camshaft. I just couldn't hit the tires hard at all. i do have cam that i got from joe overton. it should work pretty good with my current heads. i'm going to give it try and take it from there. i hope to see you at the next efa event. take care.
I would look for something in the 25?/26? @ .050 range and depending on your vehicle weight you will run low elevens to high tens with only valve springs and a good valve job on stock heads.
Good Luck,
Daren
