Help! Car wont crank (NOW) Car runs like crap!!

I have a 94 OBD1 M6 TA. Things seem to be intermitent. Last night I was able to start the car but after I shut it off it wouldnt start up again. When I turn the key the lights on the dash come on, and sometimes the fulel pump starts running, but the starter doesnt crank. I checked all wires under the hood all power and ground wires seem to have a good connection. I checked the battery and it has a good charge. Anyone have any ideas as to why the starter cranked last night but wont crank anymore. The starter is about a year old, but only has about a dozen starts on it so I cant think that the starter is bad. I hooked up my pc and checked freescan for codes and it doesnt find any codes.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like when the car warms up the starter no longer works. If it is get a corvette starter which is smaller lighter cheaper (not too sure about the cheaper part). Or it could be the battery or ignition switch.

Ok I was able to finally get the car to start today. There was a blown fuse that was causing it to not start. Although it is running like crap. When I try to give it any gas it fall flat on its face. I do have a few codes that I am not sure what to do to fix them.

CODE 16 LO-RES FAILURE
CODE 48 MASS AIR FLOW SYSTEM FAILURE

Some details on my car that may help. I have a fairly new opti installed it only has about 100 miles on it so it should still be in good shape. I have also installed a delteq system on the car so there is no more high voltage going through the opti. The car has a supercharger installed on it so that MAF has been moved to under the nose next to the air filter, but all wired connections have been soldered and wrapped in electrical tape. Also the fuel pump is new and so is the fuel pump. When I do give it gas the gas pressure never changes just holds at about 48psi.

Any help or ideas on how to clear these codes would be greatly appreciated. Also I have cleard the codes and restarted the car and the car barely turned over and then reset these codes.

Thanks,
DavidS

DTC 16 is for loss of low resolution pulse signal from the optical cam position sensor in the Opti. Clear it, and see how fast it comes back. Have you checked the tow end of the short Opti harness for corrosion or damaged pins. If the engine is running, its a "stored" code. If its an "active" code, it shuts down the fuel system, and the engine will not start/run.

DTC 48 indicates the MAF sensor circuit has failed. First (key on) check for 12V on the pink wire in the harness connector, measured against the white/black wire in the connector. If you have 12V, substitute a known good MAF for yours. If you don't have access to another MAF, check your multi-meter to see of if has a "frequency" range. If so, measure across the yellow signal wire and the white/black wire while idling, and see if the frequency is aboiut 2600-3000Hz. And, try disconnecting MAF and starting it. If it runs better, it will confirm the MAF failure. Do not drive it this way, because the speed-density default will not run properly under boost.

With regard to the fuel pressure, do you run either a boost-referenced FPR or an FMU?

I have the car running on anFMU. So I finally found a tester to test with. I am seeing 11.20 volts coming to the unit at the plug. When I test the frequency I don't see anything wether it is plugged into the MAF or not. I also disconnected the MAF and there was no change in how the car was running. Does this mean the MAF is shot?

If you are using the frequency meter correctly, and there is no signal on the yellow wire from the MAF sensor, it would indicate the MAF sensor is not working (or the pin for the yellow wire in the harness connector is damaged).
