Your OBD-II PCM includes the capability of counting misfires by individual cylinder number. If you have the PCM scanned with an OBD-II scanner, with "GM Enhanced" parameter capabilities, it will tell you which cylinder(s) are misfiring. That might point you in the correct direction.

I would start with the easy stuff and make sure the plugs and wires are in good shape.

Thats sounds good. Are Taylor 8mm a good choice and for plugs what do you like?

I've had no problems with Taylor wires and NGK plugs.

I run Taylors and haven't had a problem with them. I would guess that plug wires have deteriorated and that is your misfire. Plugs and wires are never a bad idea. You might not be able to get the 8mm plug wires back into the stock wire location. I can't remember if they fit in the looms or not.

Very true, but on the flipside, I have heard criticism over the MSD sets as well. People need to realize you can have problems with the best of brands.

I ran autolite plugs in my stock LT1 and they were fine. I believe I used taylor wires as well. change plugs & wires to start, and see where you stand. It could be a possible opti issue.
