Heads Cam INSTALL RUNS ROUGH

Car wouldent start without holding on the throttle and dies if you let off. I adjusted the throttle body screw and now it idles at 1500 but rough. When it starts it feels like it has no timing and spins free or it turns really hard like timing is retarded but eventually starts. I dont have a scanner Till next week so I really need some help. The car has a MADZ28 tune. Thanks for the help

You can't adjust idle with the screw. It's probably more out of whack now. Wait for your scanner to check it out. You could have put the optin on wrong, too.

Too many things could be wrong. Check the basics first: fuel, spark and compression. You probably have those three in some form if it will run a little.

Most common mistakes are the opti, like shoebox said, the timing chain, rocker adjustment and spark plug wires. Vacuum leaks from missing connections are also known to happen. There are so many wires and hoses that some are easy to miss.

Ya it is tuned for the cc306 and heads. Im pretty sure I put opti in right I have done a couple, and I think I have the vacuum lines are in the right spots. I actually had to use shoebox's website to put those back together. I found out today that only one side of the lights work and the foglights are dim all the time and when I turn the foglight switch on only oneside works. IM thinking I have some bad grounding issues. Could this cause the PCM to be out of whack? Thanks for the help and I will run some tests on it as soon as I can.
