Installing long tubes (or any other headers) on an OBD-I vehicle (93-95) will not cause any codes/SES light. On the OBD-II cars (96/97), the after-cat O2 sensors need to be programmed out, and the reduced exhaust back-pressure will often set an EGR code.

But no problems on your 94.

I'll put in my .02 for a set of Kooks. If you have the cash they are probably the best header out there.

I helped a friend install a new clutch on his T/A and he had Kooks. Very nice looking pieces. Don't they come with an ORP(Off Road Pipe/Cat. replacement)?

I know they make one, but they don't include it with the headers (or they didn't when I bought mine). I ran with a true dual setup for a few months before the drone just about drove me insane. The car has one of their Y pipes & a 4" cat back with a spintech muffler. Sounds pretty good. Hopefully I will be adding one of Jon's turbo kits to the mix this spring.

I know what you mean about the drone. I had a Borla XR1 that had a down turn just short of the bumper. The resonated sound going down the highway drove me crazy. Blasting down the quarter mile it sounded wonderful but I just couldn't take it after awhile. I went to a dynomax 3" in/dual 3" out for a while but now have the tried and true Borla Catback.

I hope the migration to the Turbo goes smoothly. They sure are fun!
