Header Problem

Hey. So I have looked for an answer to this all night but couldnt find one. I have a 94 Camaro M6. I just installed a set of Pacesetter Headers. I just took it for a test drive and I have half the power that I had with the stock manifolds on. I blocked off the A.I.R port holes. I also unplugged the air pump. Can anyone help me?

Re: Header Problem

Did you change anything else? Did you burn a wire? What about EGR, what did you do with that?

Re: Header Problem

The only problem that I had with the EGR is the tube that goes to the header on the drivers side would not line completely up. It has the bolt in it, but it leaks. I checked all the wires and they seem to be fine. It doesn't act like it is missing. It just cut the power in half. You don't think that going from 3 inch collectors to 2.75 pipe would be a problem?

Re: Header Problem

I meant the tube that goes to the header on the passengers side. Not the drivers.

Re: Header Problem

If you have a leak at the header [EGR hookup] your oxygen sensors will read incorrectly and alter the air/fuel mixture which can make the car run like poop. Look into fixing your leaks.

Necking down a 1/4" isn't a big deal.

Re: Header Problem

If there's no obvious mechanical symptoms then your power loss is likely psychological.
