header bolt wont fit... primary in the way
header bolt wont fit... primary in the way
Hey, I got pacesetter long tubes im putting in, and the farthest primary to the front of the car will not alow me to get me header bolt in. Like the bolt seems too long and hits the primary not allowing it to go in the hole. The primary is in the way. What have you guys done to get this 1 bolt in? Thanks. O yea and if it matters, they are 1 " breslin bolts.

Re: header bolt wont fit... primary in the way
If your talking about the driver side header then u have to pretty much put that bolt in first. Either that or make sure the other bolts are out far enough to be able to move the header around a little bit. When I was installing a set of Pacesetter headers on my buddys car I had to call my friend (who also had the Pacesetters on his car) and ask him how he did it bc I couldnt get it to fit in either. Try to get it in as a discribed above and u should be able to get it to go in. Dustin.

I had the same problem with my Jet Hot's on my passenger side. I actually had to use a seperate bolt that was the same tread size and length, but only it was round and has to use an allen key. I like the way it fits in there.
Re: header bolt wont fit... primary in the way
I got it in today. I had to loosen the other bolts so the header could pull away from the head allowing a little bit more room. Had to also go to sears and buy a new little wrench to fit on it though. Thanks for your input guys!
