I don't believe so. What are your plans, seeing as how the combustion chambers are quite a bit larger?

TFS has flow numbers on their website. The LT1 heads are basically their reworked Gen 1 SBC heads, so I think they use the same flow numbers. That also explains why the Trick Flows have the larger 62cc combustion chambers, compared to the 54cc stock LT1 heads.

Very True.

I have Trickflow's catalog right in front of me. The flow #s for the 195cc LT1 heads is identical to the 195cc SBC heads.

Direct from Trickflow's catalog...

Tests conducted at 28" of water (pressure); exhaust with 1 3/4 pipe.

-----------I / E
.100-----51 / 58
.200----136 / 98
.300----191 / 136
.400----230 / 163
.500----253 / 177
.600----254 / 190

...so to answer the original post:

If the factory LT1 heads have been ported by a reputable porter (LE, AI, TEA, CHS, etc...) Then No, the trickflows will not out flow them out of the box. However, when ported (once again: by a reputable porter) they can outflow the factory castings.

after searching all the flow numbers I'm just going to get a set of 374's ported.
I don't have the money for trickflows plus porting so I thinks the stockers will do what I want

Not that anyone should give a crap of what I think, BUT that's what I would do.

Most likely, plus you'd need to mill the TFS heads a good bit to get the CR back up to where it should be.

At this point it is probly my best option....I don't see dropping a few g's on LT1 heads......
If all goes well i'm going to just buy a new engine 434 SBC
