Have a LT1/sbc question, really could use some help on this one

I have a friend local who got a good deal on a 96 Camaro. He has a ready to go, standard small block 355 on the stand just begging to go into the car. Here lies the question. He wants to use the AC, and PS, and the Alt. But dosent know if the factory accessories will fit on a sbc with the LT1 bracket. Does anyone have any experiance with this? I have done ALOT of stuff to my car, but this is one thing I never even considered. So I dont know how to answer his questions. To recap, will a LT1 accessory bracket fit a standard SBC and allow the use of the factory LT1 accessories?

Thank you
Q

What will he use to drive the water pump?? Unless he uses an electric water pump I would have to say no. Otherwise he would need LT1 balancer and pulley; LT1 A/C compressor hooked up in the same spot; Same hole pattern on heads, e.t.c.

I would assume he would use a electric pump. That isnt a big deal. But are the mounting holes for the bracket the same? If they are it would stand to reason that the accessories would all fit and be able to run.

On certain small blocks and depending on what type of vehicle the motor is going in, the A/C compressor sits in diferrent places so he would more then likely have to use shorty headers or the LT1 headers for clearance. It might be too much fitment/ measuring/ testing to be worth it.

Gettin the distributor under the cowl is also an issue.
