has anyone had problems with delteq ltcc missing?
my 93 T/A has a minor miss in it mainly when im just cruising. while im giving it pedal, it will run great. it is a minor miss, but i want it gone. the guy that had it before me said he replaced the coils several times (gave me a box full), along with new plugs and wires. the car has the msd opti on it so im considering taking the delteq off if i dont get it seen about. if any of you guys had this problem please let me know what was causing it. thanks in advance

Check your Opti connector harness (harness that plugs into the top of the OPTI and into your Delteq harness). Very common for these to get corroded and/or loose to cause your issues. Also, check the Coil Pack plate which is actually the ICM as well as it is common for that to get over heated overtime and warp the underside or cause cracks. Good places to start. Last thing is the MSD opti commonly has an issue with the opti pickup coming loose and cause misses and might be good to take the cap off and check the rotor screws as they can back off.

Delteq is pretty much out of business. While they were still in business, there were several cases of engines that wouldn't even run with the Delteq. They admitted they had problems with "some cars" and refunded people's money.
Given the fact that there are no replacement parts and no tech support available, you should return it to the stock system, look at the Bailey Engineering LTCC 8-coil system, or consider the EFIConnection "opti-less" 24X LS1 PCM/coils conversion. Given the mods you list in your Signature, a stock system should be more than adequate.

ok thanks for your help. i will check the wiring and change the coil plate first. if that dont work and the rotor is tight then i will be running off the opti again. thanks
