has anyone ever seen this before (pics)

I was trouble shooting my heater problem today with the book and it said heater inlet and outlet to the heater core are both supposed to be hot, if one is warm then you have a bad thermostat. So i replaced the thermostat, still no heat. So im looking at the hose and the part that connects to the water pump is hot like it should be (the red part circled) but the rest of the hose after the metal thing (yellow part circled) is cool. Not even sure what the tube is circled with the blue. However, when i turn off the car the whole hose gets hot, that one part that stayed cool becomes hot. Im baffled why this could be happening, any suggestions?

clogged?

From what I understand it's just a coolant "T" with a bleeder on it. did you disconnect it and try to run water through it. (not on the car) just put your finger over one hole and make sure it comes out the other 2, make sure all of them are clear of obstructions...

your blue circle is a nylon placed on most heater hose. your able to cut it off if you choose, it would have no effect on heat/cool conditions.

Your heater core is clogged like everyone elses

You have to remove the 2 core hoses and flush it out. Mine was so clogged when I bought it, I had to use compressed air to get it open. It happens due to debris from the water jackets inside the engine sloughing off and getting stopped up inside the core. The flow restricter doesn't help much either.

i figured it might be clogged to but as soon as i turn the car off, coolant must pass through there because it gets real hot as soon as i turn the engine off. why would it flow after the car is off and not while the car is on. Could there be air or something in the lines?

You've already got an active thread with these photos in it. Generally not a good idea to start a new one on the same (or nearly the same) topic, since it loses the continuity and input of all the responses you have already had.

Shoebox has a diagram of the 93-94 heater and radiator hoses.:

the core could be air locked if you opened the cooling system up

Your thread will never be closed, unless it violates board rules, or gets completely out of hand. If you have not had any answers after a day or two, its OK to simply add your own reply and push it back up to the top ("ttt"). Just don't do that more than once every 24 hours.
