My Accel opti shipped today, and I'm pretty excited. I've seen lots of posts about people arguing/complaining about the backorders, delays, comparison to GM/MSD, etc.

Has anyone actually bolted one of these on a LT1 yet? Any REAL feedback?

Even if someone just happens to have it already I'm sure they havent had it long enough to comment on it's longetivity and performance. Time is the only test it needs to pass. It's not going to make more horse power or make the car do anything special.

 

It's build quality I'm most interested in. Did everything line up, any problems installing, does it look well sealed, etc?

True no one will REALLY know until someone puts 100k on one, puts it through the car wash, maybe throws a bag plug wire or two at it...

 

Do they advertise they can take a engine wash?

 

There is nothing special about it. It is more or less a stock replacement. I hope they last....

 

Well **** I hope so. It should seal up enough to keep water out...I've never a car that I even had to think about the issue of washing the engine...until this one..
