Maximum Lift

What is the maximum valve lift that the stock 1.5 rockers can support?

I will be upgrading the springs/locks/retainers.

Thinking about xe high lift with accelerated ramp rates.

Re: Maximum Lift

Rockers do not have a min lift spec that I know of.
the springs are what you need to worry about in terms of lift limits.

Re: Maximum Lift

I would not run much bigger than the hotcam.

The cc306 destroyed my stock rockers with its tiny lift. Some people have gotten away with it, but after just a few redline pulls I snapped 1 and the rest were shot.

What RPMs were you pulling when it broke?

Re: Maximum Lift

why go to the trouble of changing the springs and everything for the cam and not put some new rockers on it.

Re: Maximum Lift

a little more than .500 lift and you are going to be heading for trouble with the stockers

Re: Maximum Lift

If you are replacing the cam with a higher lift cam that requires more spring, replace the rockers. You can alwys use a roller tipped stamped rocker designed for high lift if money is real tight. Like the Magnum rockers from Comp http://www.compcams.com/technical/Ca...106-07/268.pdf. Don't forget to use guideplates with these. They run $150-175 or so.
