Maximum Lift
Re: Maximum Lift
I would not run much bigger than the hotcam.
The cc306 destroyed my stock rockers with its tiny lift. Some people have gotten away with it, but after just a few redline pulls I snapped 1 and the rest were shot.

Re: Maximum Lift
If you are replacing the cam with a higher lift cam that requires more spring, replace the rockers. You can alwys use a roller tipped stamped rocker designed for high lift if money is real tight. Like the Magnum rockers from Comp http://www.compcams.com/technical/Ca...106-07/268.pdf. Don't forget to use guideplates with these. They run $150-175 or so.

Re: Maximum Lift
Cheaping out on rockers has put me where i am now. I put a rocker that had a max lift of .550 on a .610 lift cam. When i did it i didnt think about there being a lift max but to make a long story short i cracked a cyl put a whole in 2 pistons beat the hell out of the other 6 bent a rod and put a whole in one head while only banging up the other
