got my mod list and the $$$, but one last thing, N2O or the Charger?
Re: got my mod list and the $$$, but one last thing, N2O or the Charger?
I wouldnt let the gas mileage thing scare you too much. Superchargers only build boost with RPM so keep your foot out of it and gas mileage really wont suffer too bad. Id personally go with a SC if I had the money to rebuild a motor and buy all the parts to make it work right.

yea but from what i hear we ahve high compression already so with boost i am lookign at blowing my engine apart, and i dont mind filling the N20 bottle i only will use it in rare occasions. what i dont get is with the wet kit what otehr hardware comes with it vs the dry? and how hard is it to plumb a new gas inlet?

I would not go with a dry kit just because you are affraid of the install. I'm not sure how much it differs on a V8 but when I did my 91 Eclipse I got the Nitrous Express Wet kit. Its a universal kit for electronic fuel injection. It comes with: 1 bottle, 2, bottle brackets, 1 really long steel braided hose, fitting with nipple, a shark nozzle, 2 small steel braided lines, a rubber hose, 3 hose clamps, 1 T fitting, 1 fuel selenoid, 1 n2o selenoid, and some miscelanious fitting, the switches.
I cant help you on the switches because I got the mainline kit. Which just comes with a toggle switch and a push button. I want to upgrade and get a window switch etc.. Here's how I had to install mine though.
Ok first I mounted the bottle in the back. Thats pretty self explanatory. I drilled a small hole and put the line through (this one will be obvious because its a lot bigger) the directions recommended you run along the fuel lines. So I zip tied the line to my factory fuel lines (yes they say zip ties work great and they are cheap). I came up inside the engine bay. I took the shark nozzle and drilled a whole into my intake about 3" from the TB. I inserted the shark nozzle in. The opening facing the TB. When you see it it'll all come together. From there I placed my jets in. These are the HP rating jets. There is a fuel and an n2o they will be labeled and have a chart. DO NOT get these wrong. Now on the n2o side and on the fuel side place the 2 small steel braided lines. Take the one comming off the "Fuel" side and put it to the fuel selenoid. Take the other side of the fuel selenoid and hook the rubber hose to it. Now I had to find my fuel line that went into the injectors. This may differ for you. It was REALLY easy for me to find. I just cut it and placed the T fitting on there. Put the 2 hose clamps on each side. Now take that rubber hose comming off of the fuel selenoid and put it on the T fitting. Place the hose clamp on.
Now take your n2o selenoid. Put one side into the shark nozzle on the side labeled n2o. Hook the line comming from your bottle to the selenoid. Now all you have to do is get power to them and your switches. Thats pretty self explanatory and the directions will help you with that.
Also they say you need some type of liquid sealer for the lines so they dont leak. They say DO NOT use tape. I kept getting leaky lines and almost everyone I talked to said just use the tape. Just be careful with it because you dont want it going inside the lines. Feel free to e-mail me at Gludan@ameritech.net or hit me up on AIM. My name is KiDonAIM I have pictures and can answer any questions you may have.

Re: got my mod list and the $$$, but one last thing, N2O or the Charger?
thanx for that expaination but i am not scared of the install, that is the easiest part of my current mods i just was going to use the dry cause i thought that it was the same as the wet, that is a pretty straight fwd deal so it wont be that bad. i will refer to this when i put everything in.
Re: got my mod list and the $$$, but one last thing, N2O or the Charger?
No, its a big difference. There isn't much difference in price. Dry your just shooting in n2o and wet your shooting in n2o and fuel at the same time. I wouldn't recommend as big of a shot on dry. Unless you upgrade your fuel. Then which is really cheaper? Get what i'm saying. YOu need more fuel to spray more nitrous. When you put in a bigger shot of nitrous with wet, you're automatically upgrading the amount of fuel you inject. You dont want to run lean. You dont want to run rich either but you definately dont wanna run lean. Be sure you run premium with nitrous also.

The extra fuel comes from the schreader valve on your fuel rail. The line is hooked to that, then to the fuel solenoid then into the nozzle. Its a very simple concept. By the way, I pm'd you.
