A few weeks back when i put on my CAI i noticed my stock elbow was cracked & spliting.
I figured sinnce i needed a new one id just buy the 1LE.
I knew the 1LE didn't have the little hole so i guess it would flow better than the stocker + the price for a 1LE was cheaper than the stock unit.
I put it on this week, when i took off the stock unit i removed that long plastic di^% looking thing.
What the hell is that for, i thought it was some kinda drain, just in case water somehow got in the intake, but there on hole in the bottom of it to drain.

Anyhow what is the 1LE part exactly gonna do if anything, besides smoother airflow?
I cant tell if the car feels any stronger since the install, but will it even make more power, just wondering?

 

It's not a performance mod. The long piece is a silencer.

 

yeah that big long thing is to just quite down the air coming in. The 1LE unit probably won't net you very much hp...maybe 1 or 2, just from the smoother airflow.
