Good alternator or starters out there??

Im in a phase of replacing stuff on my car and i need a good alternator and starter. I wanted to buy a high output alternator because im thinking of adding a sound system to my car and using the alternator as a power sorce. As for a starter i was thinking of the LT4 starter or that starter from one of the grand national sites that fit the LT1? Anyone have any suggestions?

I've had good results with the CVR Protorque starter. About $150 from JEG's. Can be rotated to different positions to clear headers, etc. I picked that one after toasting two stockers...

Go with an aftermarket starter. I am dumb and wont learn. I just put on my 4th stocker today and since I installed my headers, the y-pipe had to come off too. What a pain! Anyways, dont do what I did. Be smart and go with an aftermarket to begin with. Good luck.
