im going to take off the TB and give it a thorough cleaning and maybe a little smoothing, my question is, besides a new TB gasket and my cleaning supplies; what do i need?

in order to get another tb gasket, you have to buy the hole intake set. I reused my tb gasket many many times. So if it's still good, I think it's fine to reuse. If you have done tb bypass yet, now a good time. Might want to get those supplies. I wouldn't take the bottom plate off where the coolant passage is because that gasket will need to be replaced if removed.

 

Not entirely true. I was able to buy just the tb gasket by itself from the stealership for about $7. Some will say you can get it from Autozone and such for around $4-5.
