Re: going to install cc306....

that's not bad at all. you should be fine with comp stock replacements. the 230/236 lift is only .544/.556 with 1.6's so I don't think you'd run into too much valve float or 'upper RPM fall-out' How far do you want to run up the RPM's?

He is running a cc306 not 230/236. The CC306 has more lift than the 230/236. I wouldn't risk it you can get Comp R's used off this board sometimes for 125-150. Sell yours and buy the Comp R's. Why risk having to yank your intake again to put in Comp R's when for a few dollars more than the OEM's you can get the R's.

doesn't the cc306 hit more around the .575 range(230/244)?? was thinking of setting limiter around the 6400/6500 mark

Oops, my mistake. Unless he plans on running the RPM's above 6200 RPM's, I really don't think he'd run into any problems with stock replacement lifters.

Hold onto what you have

If you're wanting to set it around 64xx or 65xx, I'd say sell what you have and get some Comp R's.

I've always heard any big cam/big spring set up you run, if you plan to turn it past 6k then ditch the OEMs. How many big cams do you try to keep under 6? not many, so you pretty much have to dump the OEM's. IMO.
