God hates my car too!
Ok
I moved my battery to the trunk using high performance 4 gauge wire and grounded the battery in the back to a shaved down part behind the tail light. I then cut apart the front positive wire harness and wired everything through a distributioin block.
My car has been starting like **** ever since this mod and now my starter randomly started smoking and the thing won't even take a jump. My starter barely cranks and clicks too and the car is dead at the gas station where I pulled up to get gas and it decided to not start again.
I have checked all positive leads and everything is tight and clean. My ground wire in the back is grounded nicely and my front ground wire is also grounded.
I have enver heard of so many problems from moving a damn battery WTF DO I DO!?!?!

i doubt the battery move caused any problems, its probably just a coincedence.
if youre reluctant to buy a new starter, just try putting the battery back in the front for a test to see if that really is the problem.

I moved mine to the back to but mine still starts but does crank slower and it dont charge as good as it used to . I ran 2qauge and spliced it where the orginal + was. then I ran 4 guage from teh alt. to the battery
thanks guys anyone else. I think I am goign to invest and ge the 1 gauge. Then I will have a****load of expensive 4 gauge left. I think I am goignt o "tin" the end of all my wires and put them in the distribution block like that... so they don;t split apart. I am thinking of running a new ground in the front with the 4 gauge and one in the back going throgh the floor and underneath the car to somthing like a subframe connector. How the F could it not work then!?
oh yea and I think I am going to replace the battery with an optima because right now it is an "interstate"* I would leave my radio on for 15 minutes and it would go dead and our cars suck gas so I need a little more reserve*
Starter was smoking but still works... Should I replace it soon because I was thinking of all the times this thing has cranked the 10/1 compression in 8 years...A new one couldn't hurt and would probably help...

Running a wire that far will create a lot of resistance in the wire. The bigger the gauge wire the better will it flow is a good rule of thumb. If all else fails you can get a battery with a little more power. I think that Jeg's sells a 16v battery just for things like this. (I think it's Jeg's)
Anyhoo, that should take care of your problems. They are kind of expensive though. I think that its called a turbo start 16 volt battery, or something like that.
Good luck,
Jason

Nice, ok I should have paid the forty bux to get the kit to do this job. After buying the 1 gauge it would have costed me around 100 dollars for the conversion although I couldn't have avoided buying the distribution block which was pricey. I guess I will get the 1 gauge wire and use the 4 gauge as the ground, maybe double some up.. then tin the ends of everything and make the connections pro. I can't think of much else. I thought things would just bolt up and work but it's being a biotch.
