GM846 cam

Where can i find this cam 222/230 - .543/.563 (Gm846). does anyone make of full kit for this cam like they do for the lt4 (Hot cam)? or will i just have to piece parts togther?. any tips would be great. Thanks.

you wont find a kit. Also it isnt a popular grind and its old, ive seen it but that was a few yrs ago. Keep on finding F body speed sites and look, you'll find it sooner or later.

Yes, an old grind but not bad if tuned properly with the correct supporting mods. That cam was made by Crane and I matched mine with a set of Crane springs and 1.6 ratio Crane golod roller rockers. I got a mail order tune and then followed it up with a solid dyno tune...I'm satisfied with the results.

Those Crane Cams are getting pretty rare since they went under. You may have to search for awhile. Good luck

If you'd like some help from Crane's own catalog, go to www.cranecams.com and look up part number 109831. They have spring recommendations and a nice write up on how to select springs. I'd recommend the dual springs....

I actually saw one in the FS section. I am not sure if it was here or LS1tech but look. The guy wanted 160 for it.

I never meant to say it was a bad cam by any means. I am pretty sure FrankZ held the cam only record with it right??
