gm 847 with 10308 spring kit

I was wondering if it would be okay to run the gm 847 cam with the crane 10308 spring kit . Cause i heard that u need 50' taller locks and that crane kit comes standard. Does anyone know a cheaper spring kit . thanks

Heard a few people running them with the GM847. Guys used to run the K-800's from K Motion, good priced spring.

Do you have stock length valves? The 99893 springs are going to have
a closed pressure of 157# at 1.78" installed height. The +.050 locks or
retainers are a good idea. You also need to use a proper spring locator
with the 99893 springs. The 10308 kit only comes with shims which are
not worth a crap.

You have lots of spring choices but need to do some searching. If you
check the Crane site for the 847 equivalent cam which is the 109841 the
recommended spring is the 99846.
