GM 12552138 intake?
GM 12552138 intake?
I got a GM 12552138 intake and was totally unaware that there were different LT1 intake casting numbers other then 93 model years. I plan to send my heads and intake to AI for porting. Will this "L99" intake fit properly and flow that same as a ported stock 95 LT1 camaro intake after porting or should I use my stock LT1 intake for porting?
It is not an "L99" intake it is more like a 96-97 intake. My L99 happened to have one but a friend got one on a LT1.
There are like 5 castings the only notable difference among them for our purposes is the 92-3 ones without the crossover trough.
The 138 intake is what is on my motor now and was ported by AI.

but will it line up with aluminum head ports?
It is an LT1 intake, and I have one ported sitting on my AI ported aluminum heads. Seems to work just fine.
Basically I have exactly what you are saying you want to do and I am saying it works fine. You are overcomplicating a simple thing.
