Glitches?

I was scanning with an autoxray 5000. Coolant temp reached 225 and fans were not instructed to turn on. Turn on defrost (A/C request) fan #1 displays on, temp slowly comes down. Turn on A/C, both fans display on. Maybe I need to be reprogrammed?

You missed it by 1°. It's 226° Seriously, it can take a small amount of time when it does reach the ON temp threshold for them to come on. I would wait a little longer and see what happens.

Well, that makes sense. I was under the impression that the first fan turned on at 210. I'll try it again and wait for 230 perhaps.

Can I hijack my own thread?
My SES light came on while driving home tonight. Since I still had the scanner pugged in, I scanned it to look for the code. There wasn't a code detected....scanned it again while the SES was still on, but still did not detect a code. Are there condition(s) that trigger the SES without affording a code?

It wasn't your fuel cap was it? I don't know if it has a code or not...
