I'm getting these two trouble codes. Crank position sensor?
Do they go bad often? I've changed this a couple of time and both times it turned out to be a bad opti. Well, this time I have a new opti, new coil, new ignition module and the car's running fine. With the obd1 pcm I have no trouble codes but with the obd2 i'm getting these 2 codes. Could it be anything else besides the CPS? The car has sat for over a year w/o driving.

OBDI does NOT use a CKP so it's no surprise it doesn't report a DTC for it.

It's also no surprise that you are getting a 336 for poor performance along with a 335 for problems with the circuit.

Anytime you have a sensor problem, it's a good idea to check wiring, connectors and voltage and ground when applicable. In this case you want to check for 12 volts between the pink wire and the pink/black wire with KOEO.

Then be sure the yellow wire has continuity from the CKP to the red PCM connector pin 1.

Both codes set based on the duty cycle of the signal. In addition to wiring issues, it could be faulty sensor, bad spacing of the sensor to the reluctor wheel, loose wheel, wheel hitting something, etc.
