Be gentle

never did the TB bypass mod and now I'm wanting to. My question is why do people Connect the in and out sides with a barb fitting? Is there a reason that capping each side wouldn't work?

Putting 3/8 vac caps from Autozone, etal, should work just fine. I don't know why anyone would want to stick something in there that will be a bitch to get out. JMHO

You dont connect the in and out sides of the throttle body, just put vaccum caps over them. You do need to connect the hoses with a 3/8 barb fitting and 2 hose clamps.

Depends on the year of the engine. On the 95-97 cars, the steam line from the back of the head goes in one side of the TB, out the other side to the radiator. You do not want to block that line, so you connect the line from the driver's side connection to the line from the back of the head. The 93/94 routing is different, but it would still seem like a good idea to hook the lines together, but not absolutely necessary. Appears the TB is supplied by a slipstream from one of the heater lines.

The car is a 94 so the line from the heads goes directly to the rad. I'm going to replace the other lines so I won't need to connect the ends because they won't be there. I'll be down to just the steam line and the main inlet and outlet. It should help me lose a little weight with less hose and a little less coolant. I'm to the point that I'm trying to lose as much weight as possible and clean up/simplify the engine bay.

Thanks for the help guys
