Gear swap???

I currently cross the traps at 6000 rpm's with 3.73's, but I shift at 67-6800. I bought a set of 4.10's, just wondering what rpm it would put me at through the 1/4. Anyone know??? Looking for 10's NA.

Simply looking at the ratio between 4.10 and 3.73, you would be crossing the line at 6,600rpm rather than 6,000rpm. That assumes your MPH through the traps doesn't change. You should get out of the hole better with the 4.10's giving you lower ET, but might not pick up any MPH.

(4.10 / 3.73) X 6000 = 1.10 X 6000 = 6,600 RPM

Thanks Fred, that would put me where the car likes it. I guess spray would be out of the question, but I would love to get 10's NA. Guess I'll have to try it and loose a little weight

Keep the 3.73's and put a 100-shot on it. He!!, it took me a 125-shot to make an 11.1-second pass, albeit at 127.7 MPH.

That's what I've been debating on. I haven't completely made my mind up other than I want to go FASTER lol.
