Can I pass inspection with a pro ram single plane intake?
Can I pass inspection with a pro ram single plane intake?
I am using a 95 Trans Am, but putting that 400 small block in it with the single plane. I talked to my mechanic and he said he wouldn't pass it at his shop in NC.
My dad lives in FL. Could I just register the car in FL since they don't inspect?

Depends on how thorough the inspection is. You can tune most moderate EFI engines to pass the rolling emissions part, its the "visual" that can kill you, if you have any parts on the engine that are not CARB-EO approved (many states use the CA list as evidence of compatibility with emissions laws) modifications for your specific engine. The less a part looks like the stock part, the less chance you have of sneaking it past the visual inspection.... long tubes, aftermarket block, aftermarket heads, aftermarket manifold, etc, if not CARB certified, and bearing the CARB-EO certification number are deal killers where ther are rigid visual inspections.
Advisibility of registering a vehicle in another state is a legal issue, not a tech issue, and should be addressed on the correct regional forum.
