I see a few names from Dart posted on this thread, is that an invitation to call and voice an interest for a big bore block? Or should the OP start a poll and then open a line of communication for the interested parties that way. I know I wouldn't mind spending some more dough for a big bore block Lord knows I've already spent to much on this thing as it is. I know what everyone means about the short comings of the lt1, but heck the way I see it if I wanted to go the cheap route I would have stuck a gen1 in the doghouse and did some cutting. I'm starting to see alot more interest in the aftermarket world for the lt1. So all it takes is for a few companies to take notice with some good quality parts and the rest will follow kinda like the kevin kosner movie LOL..

There is an Impala guy who will convert Donovan aluminum blocks to use the LT1 parts. They are expensive, but you can get 500" out of them. The one in his car now is holding well over 1000hp.

The SHP blocks run around $1500 and are good for 600hp. A Little M is about $1000 more and good for a lot more power.

Companies have been teasing us for years with this. Until I actually see a prototype, I'll take this with a grain of salt.

Is this serious enough? Pass the word please. Make sure and join their forum and vote in the poll for LTX and LSX!!!!!

Go to www.Dartheads.com and to contact us-----tell them about your car and thoughts about producing this SHP LTx block-- as they produce the Gen 1 in 4 inch and 4.125 bore size I'm thinking that they might make a few of these as a 4 inch bore but I see the most guys buying it at 4.125----

For those of you concerned about cylinder heads----relate what you would like to see, but do remember that they have some super blocks for racing and that this one should be targeted to the replacement, moderate, stock appearing , street driven cars---Corvettes, Camaro, Firebird, Impala SS, Roadmaster, Fleetwood----
They will be monitoring the replies so let them know who you are, your return address, type of car and driving, etc

Not to **** and moan but this should have been done 10 years ago. Not come up with this idea in the middle of a freakin recession.

Now the question I have is, are we talking aluminum or iron block?

Anyone mind me asking what's the point?

For those interested, is that only if it's less expensive than building an LS1?

Why not build a big CID Gen I?
