Gains with 4.10s?

Hey guys, Just wondering what kind of gains i should see with the 4.10s installed in my M6. I was gonna have them installed this week but the guy said he cant get to them until august 1st or so. $375 but hes supposed to be extremely good and a perfectionist so he wont let the car go if its not just right. Anybody have e.t. 's before and after gear install.

I dropped 3/10's with my A4 car. 60 Ft. went from 1.9 to 1.7. You'll need GOOD tires. I'm running ET Streets

My '96 Z28 came with an M6 and the factory 3:42's. When I killed 2nd gear, I decided to go with the TH350 and vigilante. This took my sixties from a M6 effort of 1.9's to 1.6's. Meanwhile, my good friend took out his 3:42's and put in 4:10's. He also went from 1.9's to 1.6. I was amazed. Both of us run M/T ET streets. He gets the same sixties as I do plus he has all the efficiency of the manual tranny, meaning he pulls HARD at the top end of the track. I still have my wounded M6 and I plan to rebuild it and go back with 4:10's. You'll love the change. DO IT

This is what i dont get...you guys say 3 tenths..but that is also with drag radials etc...how many tenths would u gain with et streets without 4.10's? As for street racing would me going from 2.73 to 3.42 have any great impact? I dont want to spend a boatload of money on gears when it could go to something else?

Thanks guys.

Thanks you didnt specify that you used the SAME tires you just said you needed GOOD tires lol. Would i need to upgrade tires going from 2.73's to 3.42's? Because i get some spin now...but not much.

I just realized you are in the maryland crew? What track do you normally run at Cecil? And are you a member of the EFA?
