Fuel question.....

A pretty good mechanic I know reccomended I upgrade my injectors and add a FPR to my car...said it would be like turining on a light switch in the car...is there a signifigant notice with upgraded Fuel injectors and a FPR?

Opinion please....reccomendations...?

AFPR are pretty much useless.....

a buch of crap...but lets pretend I have my super cam...stG2 LT4 heads and 1.6's....

adj. fpr no, injectors most likely not (depending on mods) despite what some say ac delco makes decent injectors that can handle a lot of hp.

check out f-body.com they have a cal. on there that will give you a very close calculation of what lb fuel injector you will need.

What year is your car? (might want to use the signature field for something "useful" ) Not all years respond the same.

That said, with heads and cam, you already have custom tuning, and that tuning should reflect the size injectors you are using and the fuel pressure you are currently operating at. Trying to tune with an AFPR is a real band-aid, and doens't generally work. It will allow you to "increase" the flow rating of your injectors, if they are marginal for your current HP level, but that's about it. And that "increase" would need to be reflected in your PCM constants.
