Fuel pumps question...

I am in the process of ordering my cam stuff for my application. I have the stock LT1 fuel pump. My brother has a 190 in his built mustang. Question is, with that work with a 400+rwhp application? Thanks. Dont wanna spend the $$$ if I dont have to

Will the 190 be enough? ia m not sure what exactly is needed to fuel a 400hp car. I will be running 36lb injectors.

It definately wouldn't hurt to get a better pump. I would bet your probably right above the border line volume of the stock pump. You definately don't want to be overworking it. Just be safe. Better to have more fuel than less I thought, maybe it's the other way around. Also I thought 30lb injectors were plenty for 400rwhp.

Edit: Oh just saw you planned on 400rwhp+ so nevermind the injector statement.

Yeah I would definately get a better pump. The last thing you wanna do is be on the juice and run outta fuel. Can we say by by LT1? Don't risk it.

The Walbro pumps have minmal price increase from the 190 lph to the 255lph, Overkill with nitrous in this situation would be the way to go.

Yup that one would be perfect. Might as well get the most volume while your spending the money. Like someone else said the difference in price vs the 190 makes it kinda dumb not to go higher. That way you'll not have to ever upgrade again.

I dont think so, it's just capable of pushing more fuel through the system.
