fuel pump on the way out?

fuel pump on the way out?

i have to turn my car over at least twice to get it to start... or three times , but when running it runs great? anyone else had this problem?

This could be your problem. If u have access to a fuel pressure guage u can find out for sure. Your pump might not be holding pressure when its being primed causing it to have to really work the fuel up there. If u get a pressure guage hook it up and turn the key, if the pressure shoots up and then falls off pretty quick then its time for a new pump. Peace, Dustin.

I thought this issue could also be caused by a malfunctioning regulator, or leaky injectors? I have gotten many responses from my own post about hard starting.. and the advice all starts with getting a fuel pressure guage.

i did a search but didnt find to much info.. thanks tho ill get a gauge and check it out.. i appricate the help
