Re: fuel pump.....PLEASE HELP!!!

It's a new opti (changed a few months ago) and the car was running before the pump swap. What else besides that would I have to check for injector pulse?

I apologize. I forgot that you had the SVO's and couldn't run the injector clips. Also, when you get this thing running, remember you have 2 leaky injectors. I can't think of anything else that would cause the injectors not to pulse besides the fuses and the opti. Maybe someone can chime in and shed some light on this. At least you're positive what's keeping the car from starting.

Just because the opti is new doesn't mean that it is not at fault. Also might be opti connector, opti wiring back to the pcm, etc. You took the fuel rails off - sure you didn't pinch a wire somewhere? Do you have spark?

I'll check for pinched wires and spark tommorrow. The car has alot of miles, maybe the wires were brittle and I broke one. I'm not very good at troubleshooting electrical problems, so I might have to bite the bullet and take it somewhere.

Its all good. My wife had a good laugh, though. I must have jumped about 5 feet high when that thing popped off!

Re: fuel pump.....PLEASE HELP!!!

When I had 30# SVOs I used the sock clips on the fuel rails with no problems. You can't just use any of the grooves, though. I "think" only the top one worked which left the o-ring a little low in the rail, but it worked just fine w/o any leaks.
