fuel pump.....PLEASE HELP!!!

I installed a Walbro 255lph and SVO 30# injectors in my car and now my it wont start!! I took the pump back out (trapdoor method thank God) and one of the lines came undone, so I reconnected it and put a clamp on it and it still wont start. I put the stock injectors back in and nothing. What am I doing wrong?

Re: fuel pump.....PLEASE HELP!!!

Check everything you disconnected first. Don't forget the injector clips and fuses. Polarity of the connection to the pump and so on.

Then check to be sure pressure is building up. Cycle KOEO a few times and see if you get around 40 pounds.

Then be sure you have injector pulses.

Last, check for DTC's that may not have set an SES.

Re: fuel pump.....PLEASE HELP!!!

I reconnected everything, but the injector clips dont fit the SVOs. I've double-checked everything I messed with and put the stock injectors back on, but still no start. Is it possible I got a bad pump? I didnt take out the fuel pump relay either, could it have blown?

Did you check the fuses in case you blew one?

Yeah, I check the ones in the side of the dash and under the hood. They're all good. Before I swapped the pump, I ran out of gas twice and now it's acting exactly like it is out of gas again. Before I tried to start it I put 4 gallons of gas, so it has gas.

Re: fuel pump.....PLEASE HELP!!!

Did you try the fuel pump test lead in the wiring harness near the PCM? You hook that up to +12V, the FP should run.

Re: fuel pump.....PLEASE HELP!!!

Is the pump priming? That's the question that I'd try to find the answer to first. I was just having problems with my pump quitting on me because of the connector that attaches both grounds (for the pump and the sending unit) that clips on to the sending unit. It kept coming loose.

Re: fuel pump.....PLEASE HELP!!!

The pump is running, but its like the injectors are not getting fuel. I dont have a fuel pressure gauge, but every time I press the shrader valve, fuel sprays everywhere for about 2 seconds. I dont have a noid light either. I put the stock pump back in today and now it wont start either...... If I cycle the key a couple of times then try to start it, it will almost crank then just spin like crazy.

Re: fuel pump.....PLEASE HELP!!!

If the PCM doesn't see the right signals from the opti, it won't fire the injectors.

Re: fuel pump.....PLEASE HELP!!!

The only thing I did under the hood was take the fuel rail off to change the injectors. Maybe I did something wrong? It ran before I changed the pump, and now nothing.

Re: fuel pump.....PLEASE HELP!!!

If you refuse to get a pressure gage then do this. Power off and relieve all the pressure at the schrader valve. Then KOEO for 6 cycles. Then press the schrader valve and see if pressure built up.

Re: fuel pump.....PLEASE HELP!!!

I've tried that with both pumps and they both build pressure. I've also tried to start it with both injectors (stock and SVOs) and nothing.

Re: fuel pump.....PLEASE HELP!!!

What could I have possibly screwed up? Can fuel injectors be put on wrong?

I don't think so. Pull the fuel rail off, lay it on a towel on top of the intake and connect the lines back up. Have someone crank the car and see what the injectors are doing. This will answer the question of whether they're pulsing or not and how they're pulsing.

Re: fuel pump.....PLEASE HELP!!!

I took the fuel rail off, laid it on a towel, tried to start the car, and the injectors did nothing. Injectors 1 and 3 sputtered a little and then one of them shot off the rail! It seems like there is plenty of pressure. So, if there is no injector pulse, what do I check now?
