I was wondering if those electric fuel pumps are just as good as the inline. I'm planning for a 600rwhp street car and need to upgrade the pump. Would a electric be good. I rather go with the electric since it's allot easier to install

umm.... inlines are electric too. infact, i was pretty sure all fuel pumps these days were electric, lol. 600RWHP??? Your pretty much going to have to replace everything in the car, including the engine, lol. Can an LT1 even produce that? I'd think by the time your done, it wouldn't be an LT1 anymore.

Re: Fuel pump which one is better inline or electric

I'm presently driving a 593 rwhp LT1 and there are quite a few guys with a lot more HP than that! I'm running a Walbro in-tank 255 lph HD fuel pump through stock lines and the pump (electric) keeps up just fine. All modern day engines run electric fuel pumps. Older style carburated engines that can run on lower fuel pressures (i.e. 12 psi) can run via mechanical pumps, but even those guys usually upgrade to an electric fuel pump.
