Fuel pump install problem...help please.

Ok I went in from the top and got everything set up but have a leak....... the connection that is more to left(hardest one to get to) is the one leaking. I have a black plastic piece that came out and I did not put it back in(wasnt sure where it came from). There is a yellow o-ring too right? Well what order do these parts go in and is the lack of that one plastic piece my problem. Thanks for any input.

Question

r u talking about the black piece on the fuel line that the yellow clip fits into? The yellow piece goes on one side of the fuel line and fits into the black piece on the other side of the line to connect together.

Are you talking about the fuel line disconnects? Mine was a black female end and blue clip on the male end of the fuel sending unit. Maybe they have diferent colors Well if those two ends are not connected togeather completly then yeah you will have a leak , a big one. Those lines a a PITA to get to with the trap door method.
