Fuel Pump Install Problem

I cut my access hole, but nmow I cant pull the pump assembly out. Any tips? Once I take the nuts off that hold the assembly to top of tank, can I just pull it out, or do I have to reach in and disconnect something? I did a search, but havent come up with anythings thats help me so far. Any advice would be appreciated.

I had the same problem on friday. You probably need to cut your hole more toward the front of the car (leave about .5 inch for strength) and reach in the hole towards the driver's side front of the hole and disconnect 2 of the lines with needle nose pliers. The other 2 just pull apart. Hope that helps.

Here's a pretty good link to verify you have everything disconnected.

If i am correct after you take off the bolts you have to turn the meatel ring that holds the pump in,

I think i used a flet head screwdriver and turned it then it should wiggle around and you can pick it up a lil

Yeah, I can lift it about 4 inches until the piece on the inside that is bent @ 90 degrees hits the top of the tank. I am about to try red96's idea.
