I've run the AFPR's that replace the stocker, and have a Weldon AFPR in my highly modified fuel system, and no problems with them at all.
The Aeromotive AFPR's have had a lot of problems. An Aeromotive rep came on here more than a year ago, and after reaming my a$$ for pointing out there were a lot of problems, offered to replace any defective Aeromotive regulator, no questions asked. Finally admitted they had a problem with quite a few of them. If you feel you have a problem with an Aeromotive AFPR, contact them and see if they will still replace them. The guy who posted the "no questions asked" return policy was "markinkc69z", but he appears to have moved from Aeromotive to ATI, at least according to his "signature".

Mine looks different... where the vacuum line is plugging into this one, I have a threaded piece for the adjustment (So my mechanic tells me) and my vacuum line plugs in on the top.

Re: Fuel Pressure Regulator Symptoms
You've never answered one question/suggestion. Have you put a pressure gauge on the system, or not? What is the fuel pressure at idle, with and without the vacuum line?
Does your Aeromotive look like this:

Re: Fuel Pressure Regulator Symptoms
Yea it looks like that.
Well, injectors checked out ok. Brian at Precision said that they looked alright.
I didn't do the vacuum test thing, because I don't know how too or have the tools...
A mechanic told me that maybe i'm not producing enough spark... (Doesn't fix my fuel line problem) but that could be the reason why I am getting fuel in the oil.
Plugs were gapped @ .050 or .055 on stock ignition system... so I am putting in NGK 4091s and gapping them @ .035 and hoping that'll solve a bit of the issues. I am looking into a full MSG Ignition system now and hopefully that'll solve the entire spark problem.
That true though? You think that the stock ignition system can't produce a sufficient spark for my setup?
I am going to change my plugs and oil... wait a few days and hope for the best. If I see more fuel, again... I am bringing a shotgun to the car

Re: Fuel Pressure Regulator Symptoms
Was that WITH or WITHOUT the vauum line connected?
That's too high, unless you told your programmer you were going to run a higher than stock fuel pressure. If that's the pressure with the vacuum line connected, your injectors are flowing as much as 15% more fuel than the PCM thinks they are. If that's the pressure with the vacuum line disconnected, they are flowing 9% more fuel than the PCM expects.
Why did you go with such a high pressure?

Re: Fuel Pressure Regulator Symptoms
Well... he said that's what the car liked. He was messing around with the adjustment and the car ran better at 52 psi he said.
So i'm guessing that is way to much and needs to be adjusted? What should I lower it too?
To my knowledge, vacuum line was attached.

Re: Fuel Pressure Regulator Symptoms
My car has 38 psi at idle and 52 psi at WOT and 45 psi primed without running. I agree that 52 at idle is way over the top, and just because it seemed to drive better doesn't mean it is. The A/F ratio could be way messed up.
