Fuel pressure regulator??
Go buy a fuel pressure tester kit from your local auto parts store. Put it on, tape it to the windshield and drive around a little. Pressure should be around 43 stock, but of course changes depending on load. If you see spikes and stuff it's probably bad (or fuel pump or filter). But I'm no expert, maybe someone else has some better expertise on fuel systems. My .02.
