Fuel pressure Question

When you turn your key to the on position, do you get fuel pressure(of course you do) but does it stay at a certain #.

After getting a walbro put in the pressure jumps to 42, but after it primes it falls back to 0 until you try to start the car.

Someone is telling me it is suppose to stay up.

Is it?

If you just turn the key to the on position, the pump comes on for like 3 or 4 seconds and then shuts down unless the engine is cranked.

There is a check valve in the pump that should hold the pressure, except for maybe a couple of pound drop.

It should stay at around 44psi after its primed. Otherwise your fuel pressure regulator might be screwed.

Pull the vacuum line on the FPR and check for gas.
