fuel pressure?

I just put a 383 in and i had 40psi i was told by the guy doing my dyno tune (ed wright) that i need 46lbs so i started to adjust it and i started droping pressure so i went the other way screwing it in and the pressure wont come up. I noticed that the fuel pump doesnt sound like it is coming on. Does any one have any ideas on what i could have done? I even reset the computer and no i have like 5psi. i just keep looseing pressure so that is why i listened for the fuel pump and nothing?

Any help would be appriciated.

Re: fuel pressure?

Sounds like you're trying to adjust the pressure without the engine running. You need to have the car running to adjust fuel pressure. The fuel pump will only run for a few seconds if you turn the key "on" but don't start it. You need to actually start it.. Or are you saying the engine no longer runs?

Yea i had it runing at first but now it wont run. It just kept droping and droping until it died. It has a brand new walbro pump also thats been working fine for a week. Even when i turn the key on the pressure doesnt move at all.

Thank you
