My car is acting all crazy. First of all sometimes it ill idle up to 2k after i push in the clutch. It will hold at 2k for a while and then slowly come down. When cold at about 1500-2000 the car stumbles. The car also makes a pop pop pop sound on decel and at idle. its really annoying. Any clues??? i have MSD wires and i have herd that some have problems. could this be it??

To be honest it could be a lot of stuff...but I wouldn't bet on the wires...just doesn't sound like that type of problem...but i could be wrong...

Opti porblem??? a while ago i took out the injectors could they not be seated right and cause something like this??

having the same problem. So far, i've replaced the O rings on the injectors, checked my vaccum lines (dont see any obvious leaks), checked TPS, IAC, have a new MAP sensor (havent put it in yet), an had the intake manifold gasket replaced. If you find anything let me know im at a loss.

The popping sounds like a good opti indicator.. Does it still pull hard all the way to redline or does it feel like it runs out of wind above a certain RPM??

not that it rules it out but the car is on its second opti. it pulls hard at WOT

Optis suck...when mine took a dump it stumbled at WOT after 4k...

but once my car worms up it no longer stumbles and it only stumbles when cold and when im lightly on the throttle. if i lightly step on the gas at about 1500 to 2k it slowly accels and at like 22k i feel it start pulling harder as if i just steped on the gas harder.

by any chance do u have a bbk throttle body on it. my friends car did the same idle thing until we cleaned the carbon buildup behind it but they tend to stick a little. also the poppin could be spark plugs i would check them before u do another opti.

no stock TB all mods in sig. and im going to do plugs and wires when i do my headers soon.

It looks like alot of people are haveing similar problems. no one has fixed it???

Take some carb cleaner and spray it around your injectors and intake plenum etc. Around the throttle body and other areas that might suck in air If the RPM's come up you have found the leak. The popping could be caused by an intake air leak and the idle is a good indicator of an air leak also. When it warms up it may be swelling just enough to close. Just my .02

well just got my car back from the dealer. $275 Turns out that my NKG pluge where messed up. They changed 2 plugs and now the car runs great. I would have done that myself however i really didn't think it could be such a simple problem But hay the car runs great now
